What is a podcast?
in

A 'podcast' is a computer file, usually an MP3, that you can listen to live on the Web or download to your computer to listen to later - either on your computer or on an MP3 player.

My (Mike Bennett's) podcasts mostly consist of my original fiction which I have recorded and saved as MP3s (podcasts) for you to listen to at no cost. That's right, no cost: Mike Bennett podcasts are completely free to listen to or download.

To obtain the podcasts, you can use a software program like iTunes, which is free to download and easy to use. Once you have that, you can "subscribe" to the podcast (this doesn't mean you have to pay for anything, it just means you will get the podcasts you want as soon as they are released by the podcaster). To subscribe to Underwood and Flinch, go to the home page of this site and click on the "Subscribe" button in the menu on the left-hand side of the page. Or you could just click this iTunes link: Mike Bennett Podcasts to connect to my main podcast feed* which contains all my podcasts to-date.

Feed* = You "subscribe" to the "feed" to get the podcasts. The "feed" is where all my podcasts are stored, and by subscribing to it, you can access them and download as many MP3s as you like.

You can learn more at these sites, the BBC one even has a video ... which is nice.
