Mike, Does this mean you
Mike,
Does this mean you have the entirety of Part Two completely written? I recall you saying after the end of Part One that you weren't going to deliver Part Two the same way due to the difficulty involved...
Love U&F, though I'm dreaming of a sequel to Sleepless!
Completely Written?
Hi Doug
Actually, no. I haven't written it completely. I thought I would be able to, but I kept finding reasons to procrastinate (you wouldn't believe the things I came up with). Writing without a real world deadline or a financial motivation is pretty tough, in my (recent) experience. I got about another third of the book done in second draft, then decided that the podcast 'due date' - though it's a bitch to live with - is the only real world deadline I have that forces me to work. Sure enough, as soon as I decided to resume the podcast, I found myself sitting down to work on the text again. I'll be working this way until the end of the novel / podcast. The 'butterfly effect' ramifications set off in Part One have all been absorbed and dealt with in Part Two, so I now have a revised second draft for much of Part Two. Part Three is still in first draft, but that's okay, I can handle it
U&F returns
The wait was long but well, well worth it.
The Waiting is over!!!
We have been waiting so long for this, thank you Mike!
Will download when I get home from work.

Excellent
This is going to help me through my night at work, Thanks Mike!
New Listener
Mike,
I was introduced to your series by a friend with the last name of...funny enough...Underwood. I started listening yesterday....I'm on episode 12. I've been completely sucked in. This fantastic and I love every minute of it. Your voice overs are quiet impressive.
A true fan,
Pixie
Hooray He's Back
Happy to see you are back.
Bennett!
What a pleasant surprise. I am psyched for a good listen on this very dreary NY afternoon. I look forward to finally getting to know Lord Underwood a bit better.
Welcome Back, and keep 'em coming.

Great stuff!
Thanks for an excellent and very promising season premiere! Looking forward to hearing the continuation. I loved the intermittent Sometimes episodes during the hiatus too, though I was shamefully lax in commenting on them.
All the best, and keep up the good work!
[Edit: corrected typo]
Voice Acting
Mike,
As well as you write, you're just as skilled as a voice actor. Have you ever considered applying Blackstone Audio Books, and other similar companies that use voice actors? I think it would be quite a treat to hear you read other fiction titles. Lord knows you're already better than some voice actors who have been with BAB for years.
I second that
I agree with doug1937 re voice acting, Mike. You'd clearly be talented enough to do this sort of thing professionally IMO.
...prostitutes, cocaine and brazil nuts....
Love that line Mike!
Cracking episode, can't wait for the next episode (as always)
Rich
Thanks
Thanks all. Really glad to hear you enjoyed it. Obviously there's a certain amount of anxiety when it comes to starting a podcast, so I'm thrilled to get the positive feedback. Special thanks to Doug and Consolamentium for the voice acting idea. I need a job and this would be a good one. Mind you, thinking about it, if I were to do that, I wouldn't have much time (or left-over energies) for U&F. So maybe I'll wait until after U&F concludes ;-)
The Blue Dot...
next to the "Vampire Novel: Underwood and Flinch" tab, in my podcasts list, told me there was something new in it. When I saw why it was there... joy o joy. We are all back in our seats and you've got the steering wheel again! The ride was smooth and the scenery very vivid. Splendid old chap. Drive us on! ¡Gracias Mike!
Hoorah!!!
Yay Mike!
So glad to have you back, Man! I got a kick out of Underwood's incredulousness about our technology and lack of "Steps". Hilarious. "WHA- NO STEPS?!?"
WOOOHOOO!!!
AWESOME!! I have been waiting for this for a looooong time!!! Thank You Mike for getting it out. I will try to hold off listening to it until I listen to the previous episodes again to get fully sucked into the story again. Which I will start doing this evening. I can't wait. Mike you are the best, I love all of your stuff, especially Underwood and Flinch. I know it has taken awhile for you to get it out but it is definately worth it. I can tell from your comments that you just keep working and reworking it until it is perfect, and I say it is. Everything is amazing the production the voices the characters the concept and especially the storyline and the writing. One of the many things I like that you have done with Underwood that at least I haven't seen in the new Vampire stories that are out, is Underwoods ability to turn into a Bat, and you have made it in a way that could be possible. I listen to alot of audio stories Pseudopod, Drabblecast etc.. and they are great, and I recommend everyone check them out, but you are my favorite.
Keep up the great work Mike, and thank you for all of the great stories you have made for us all to enjoy.
P.S I know I may sound like a suck up, but I really love your work, and I know that when someone puts so much effort into their art form like you do, the best thing they can hear is that other people Love it too.
Samual A Carver
Bats etc
Thanks Sam. I greatly appreciate the feedback. I don't think you sound like a suck-up, I think you sound like a friend and supporter, which is what I need to keep me focused on the task at hand. If I didn't know there were people like yourself out there who want this stuff, I probably wouldn't be writing it: I'd do something else more befitting for a man of my age, like selling insurance ... oh no, actually I wouldn't - I'm inept at stuff like that. I can write, podcast, and teach English. So I guess I'm in the right groove as far as destiny etc is concerned.
Thanks again. You make this stuff happen as much as I do :-)
p.s. Bats etc - it just had to be done. Too many contemporary vampires stand around looking moody and sensitive. We need more of the vicious, airborne variety.
Mike, I am now a fan
Mike,
I am now a fan of the Hall of Mirrors stories as well. So much so I had hubby set up the MP3 player to play in the car so I can listen during drive time. I do have a question/ Where can I find Wet Velvet? You said at the end of The Haslet Technique that it was in a "Secret Room"? And where exactly do I find that ? LOL I'm looking and will tell you if I find it before you get back to me.
Thanks from the Pixie Yank,
Kiki
Secret Room
Hi Pixie
I could send you on a treasure hunt over to MikeBennettPodcast.Com, but I'll save you the bother. This link should take you there:

Bon apetit
Underwood out of time (a fun post)
Just a fun thing i thought of after listening to the new episode.
This is pretty much for the fans so Mike isnt allowed to comment (like he will take any notice)
Anyway, heres the idea, think of something that wasnt around 50 years ago and also a possible response for it by Underwood himself.
For example: a dvd movie - response: Why wont this bally record play in your gramphone?
or
automatically opening doors (ones with a pir) - response: David, wheres the doorman?
Lets see what you can come up with
Thanks, Mike
I am so glad U&F is back and this episode was a real treat. Of course, your stories in general, and U&F in particular, are top notch, but I also really appreciate the totally stellar production, as always. I think I could listen to you read the phone book and find it enjoyable. :-) I honestly think you could make a living out of being a professional voice actor.
Anyway, thanks, Mike!! I look forward to every U&F episode.
